Power Platform Innovator Jobs

Teksouth is looking for a candidate interested in continued growth in the emerging technology of Power App product solutions. As the Power Platform is a more recent addition to Microsoft technologies, we are willing to consider applicants with a broad range of technical backgrounds in lieu of direct years of experience with Power Platform solution development.

A Power App developer uses the low-code Power Platform to operate at the intersection of requirements gathering, analytics, and design. You will collaborate with stakeholders and customers across industries in support of building apps that meet a variety of business needs. You will communicate and collaborate with customers to convert their existing business processes into Power App solutions.

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders on agile prototyping to demonstrate the art of the possible and find creative solutions for complex business use cases.
• Review project deliverables for quality, completeness and adherence to applicable regulations, customer requirements, and Teksouth standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Design and develop Power App solutions for government and commercial customers.
• Generate related solution documentation and Power BI dashboards.
• Participate in meetings, task groups, teams, reviews, and other environments to assist in collaborative solutions.
• Conduct training on Teksouth developed products related to customer needs
• Stay informed on best practices, new technologies, and approaches.

• Contribute to iterative review of Power Platform products, documenting feedback and following up on action items during product development.
• Collaborate with customers to define their needs and conduct external research to support projects.

Qualifications

Required:

• Power BI
• Ongoing commitment to learning latest innovations; both via formal training and self-guided research
• Basic database development knowledge with at least one database platform (e.g., Dataverse, MS Access, SQL, etc.)
• Must have a SECRET security clearance
• Basic knowledge with at least one programming, functional, and/or query language (e.g., Power FX, PQFL, SQL, DAX, VBA, Python, etc.) in a professional or academic environment
• Working knowledge with 2 or more of the following Power Platform technologies:
• Microsoft Excel Power User; advanced proficiency with functions
• Ability to acquire Power Platform Fundamentals (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/certifications/exams/pl-900/) Microsoft Certification within 90 days of hiring
• Power Apps
• Possess a customer-centric attitude with excellent communication skills, strong personal integrity, and teamwork abilities
• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
• SharePoint
• Power Automate

Nice-To-Have

• Familiarity with DoD/Army Financial Management processes and data
• Custom connectors for Power Apps and Power Automate
• Building Model-Driven Power Apps
• Familiarity with generating documentation of solutions, processes, and checklists
• Power Automate cloud flows, desktop flows, or business process flows
• Business requirement gathering and analysis
• Dataverse knowledge
• An eye for clean, easy to use, UI/UX implementations
• General web technologies including: HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
• Tableau/Qlik
• Software development knowledge asp, dot net, Java, etc.
