We are adding a Power BI Developer to the Clark Schaefer Consulting team. Responsibilities include creating Power BI visualizations and dashboards, data analysis, and data warehousing tasks for internal and external clients. This will require a skilled professional that can collect and analyze customer requirements, assemble data from various sources and produce outputs in Power BI to achieve the customer’s goals. The successful candidate will be a fast learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks and possess excellent analytical, listening and communication skills, both written and verbal. As a core member of the team, you will develop custom solutions that solve problems and improve business operations for our clients. The successful candidate will join a team of professional business consultants with expertise in our Technology Practice.



Responsibilities:

  • Understand the customer’s datasets.
  • Consult with internal and external customers to collect BI requirements.
  • Setup and administration of Power BI data connections.
  • Creation of staging databases and data warehouses for consumption by Power BI.
  • Publish and administrate Power BI Workspaces.
  • Create Power BI visualizations and edit existing reports.
  • Correlate the datasets with the BI requirements.



Specific Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of data warehousing products and techniques, including OLAP and/or SSAS.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and juggle customer demands.
  • Experience in working with different departments and cross-functional teams, including customer interface and requirements gathering.
  • Solid relationship management and leadership skills and the ability to assume increasing responsibilities in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong general technical aptitude.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage a wide variety of data and related tools to improve the efficiency of the organization.
  • Strong T-SQL skills.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.



Preferred Skills:

  • Additional software development skills, particularly in .NET are highly desirable.



Education & Years of Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Two-plus years’ experience in BI.
  • Proven expertise in creating Power BI visualizations, workspaces, datasets, DAX, database queries.



Travel:

  • Minimal, if any.
