The Department of Corrections , Division of Juvenile Corrections, is currently recruiting to fill an Plumber position. This position is based out of Copper Lake / Lincoln Hills schools in Irma, WI.

Position Summary
This position performs duties at the journeyman level of skill under general supervision utilizing the tools, equipment, materials, methods, and practices of the Plumbing Trades. Responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, and maintaining all plumbing and related mechanical operations, (including heating, ventilating, and the distribution systems) in accordance with the provisions of plumbing codes, pertinent plans, and specifications or work orders.
Salary Information
This position is in the Building/trades craft: 04-00 with starting pay at $43.61, $44.29 or $45.01 per hour, depending on leave time selected, plus excellent benefits. This classification is included in the Building & Trades Bargaining unit. A twelve-month probation is required.
Job Details
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application.
The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency of employment.
The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
Note: This position requires possession of a valid Driver’s License.
Qualifications
Minimally qualified applicants must possess a current valid Journeyman Plumber's license by the State of Wisconsin, Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS).
