Position: Picker Packer

About the role:

The Picker Packer will assist in preparing orders for shipping. This position will utilize pick slips to select and pack products. The Picker Packer is an important part of the Jack Richeson and Company team as they help to ensure the company meets specifics of customer orders in a timely manner.

What you will be doing:

  • Ensure correct shipping information is attached and pallets are properly prepared for shipping.
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean, neat, and well organized.
  • Prepare and process less-than truckload (LTL) or ground shipments and orders.
  • Pick, inspect, and pack products according to the pick slip.

What you need:

  • Ability to stand up to ten (10) hours a day
  • Self-motivated and driven individual
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to understand basic mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to grip and grasp
  • The determination to work harder than anyone you know
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to implement solutions quickly
  • Capable of multi-tasking
  • Ability to read a tape measure and measure to the exact, specific measurement consistently
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Must be resourceful and initiative-taking
  • Prior warehouse experience (preferred)
  • Must be thorough with a strong sense of attention to detail
  • Ability to turn and twist wrist and hands
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and follow written and verbal communication
  • Friendly, engaging, and professional demeanor
  • Ability to repetitively lift materials 25 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 100 lbs. occasionally
  • Extremely organized, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight production timelines
