Physician Practice RN - Plastic Surgery, UHS Binghamton General Hospital

United Health Services is seeking a Physician Practice RN - Plastic Surgery to join our Plastic Surgery 02 department at UHS Binghamton General Hospital in Binghamton, NY. This position is benefits eligible.

$28.93 - $44.57 per hour, depending on experience.

Physician Practice RN - Plastic Surgery / Overview

Potential for up to $10,000 Sign-on Bonus, relocation assistance, and continuing education incentives.

The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury, and the alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response and through advocacy in the care of individuals and families. The RN is responsible and accountable for compliance to all standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services Hospitals and Nursing Division policies, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the Bill of Patient Rights. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations

Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing.
  • At least 1 year experience in health care setting with evidence of having obtained proficiency in those areas emphasized in the Registered Nurse curriculum.
Preferred:
  • Previous experience in a walk in / primary care/ specialty care setting.

License/Certification
Minimum Required:
  • Current NY State RN license.
  • Documentation of current CPR certification required within 1 week of start of employment.

Work Environment
  • The office is air conditioned as well as heated.
  • Frequent sitting, walking, standing and bending.
  • Fast-paced environment including frequent interruptions.
  • Possibility of lifting of patients.
  • Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
  • PPE- Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, Gloves per UHS Infection Control and CDC guidelines when appropriate.
  • Mobility may include access through a multi-level facility, including climbing stairs.
  • Work is performed in an office environment that requires working in proximity to other employees and patients.
