The Opportunity
The well-rounded physical therapy team at Rumford Hospital is growing! This position makes a direct positive impact on the Western Foothills community by providing physical therapy services to Rumford Hospital’s inpatient population. What You’ll Do
  • Provide care to patients in the acute care setting. This includes the ED, med-surg, swing-bed (rehab) and SCU. There is also opportunity for cross-training in an outpatient setting if needed.
  • Assist patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
  • Participate in operational aspects of the department, maintains and participates in CQI activities
  • Follow the outlined plan of care designated by the Physical Therapist and provide treatment and instruction to patients according to acceptable principles and practices of Physical Therapy.
  • Collaborate as a member of the healthcare team for the provision of comprehensive patient care.
  • Assist with the restoration of patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability.
Skills and Attributes for Success
  • Ability to meet current documentation standards and policies in a timely fashion.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to identify and respectfully address psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs of patients and their families.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Flexibility, organization and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
Requirements and Qualifications for the Position
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current State Physical Therapy Assistant Licensure.
