Our ideal candidate will assist in providing therapy services to acute care patients throughout the organization under the direction of an occupational and/or physical therapy care team as well as assists with department tasks that support the delivery of patient care.

Required Qualifications:

• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification issued by the State of Idaho -OR 2 years previous experience as a Therapy Aide -OR- 2 years of college (any heath occupation related courses preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in physical therapy is preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Completes all required documentation in an accurate and timely manner according to established rehabilitation services policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Prepares treatment areas, patients, and equipment for treatments. Maintains, cleans and repairs equipment.
• Assists the therapist and assistant during patient evaluations and procedures.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric as applicable). Manages chart reconciliation.
• Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
• Carries out a specifically defined treatment for assigned patients as determined by the therapist or assistant.
