Required Qualifications:
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification issued by the State of Idaho -OR 2 years previous experience as a Therapy Aide -OR- 2 years of college (any heath occupation related courses preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in physical therapy is preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Completes all required documentation in an accurate and timely manner according to established rehabilitation services policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Prepares treatment areas, patients, and equipment for treatments. Maintains, cleans and repairs equipment.
- Assists the therapist and assistant during patient evaluations and procedures.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric as applicable). Manages chart reconciliation.
- Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
- Carries out a specifically defined treatment for assigned patients as determined by the therapist or assistant.
