Role Description

We are looking for an attentive physical therapist to help physical therapists with their sessions. The physical therapist assistant is responsible for massaging patients, sanitizing treatment areas, and setting up therapy equipment.

To be successful as a physical therapist you must have excellent interpersonal skills. A good physical therapist assistant has the strength to lift and move patients with mobility problems.

Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Providing educational information about injury prevention, ergonomics and ways to promote physical health.
• Creating personalized fitness-oriented health care programs for patients.
• Documenting patient care history.
• Administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility.
• Complying with rules, regulations, and procedures.
• Assessing and interpreting patient evaluations and test results.
• Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition.
• Advising patients on exercise techniques.
• Advising patients and their families about in-home treatment options.
• Developing treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques.
• Consulting and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.

Physical Therapist Requirements

• Valid physical therapist license.
• Computer literacy skills
• Ability to lift and move patients.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• A high school qualification or equivalent.
• Certification from a physical therapist program.
• Rehab expereince preferred
