Physical Therapist Jobs

Provide optimal patient care by evaluation program planning and implementation of treatment for patients referred for physical therapy in order to restore function and/or prevent disability following disease injury or loss of body part. The Physical Therapist evaluates plans and provides care to patients with a deficit in self-care, mobility, safety, range of motion or strength.

Education: Graduate of a school of Physical Therapy approved by the American Physical Therapy Association. For individuals beginning practice on or after January 1, 2008, must have graduated from a physical therapy curriculum approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) and passed the National Examination approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.

Experience: No previous experience required.

Licensure/certification: Current licensure to practice Physical Therapy in the state of South Carolina is required. Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.

Knowledge/Skills: Requires the ability to work well with all levels of patients, the public and other health care professionals. Must be able to communicate effectively with people of various cultural and educational backgrounds.
