Job Description

Position Summary

The Outpatient Technician interacts with patients and other health-care providers to collect, transport and/or process blood and other body fluids from a full spectrum of the patient population. He/she performs EKG procedures in conjunction with the Department of Cardiology. He/she participates in educational and training activities and may participate in the performance of routine administrative and non–routine technical functions.

Position Requirements

Education

  • Successful completion of an approved training program consisting of both lectures and practical application in phlebotomy or comparable education or experience.
  • Will be trained in house to perform EKG functions.

Experience

  • One year's experience performing similar duties preferred.
  • Should have good typing skills.

Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Friday occasional weekends, 530-130
