Pharmacy Technician Jobs

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated team in Detroit, Michigan inside of a fast paced mental health clinic. As a vital member of our pharmacy staff, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists with various tasks to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services to our valued customers. Responsibilities:
Assist licensed pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications to customers and healthcare professionals accurately and efficiently.
Prepare and package medications for distribution, ensuring compliance with legal and safety guidelines.
Handle prescription intake, data entry, and patient information management in accordance with relevant regulations.
Maintain proper inventory levels and conduct periodic stock checks to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and offering medication counseling when appropriate.
Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to process insurance claims and verify coverage.
Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
Certification as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Michigan (CPhT).
Minimum of one year of practical experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
Proficiency in using pharmacy software and technology for prescription processing.
Preferred experience with Liberty Software for seamless integration into our pharmacy workflow.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
Adept at working in a team and collaborating with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.
Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations and compliance standards.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, NO weekends or holidays required.
