This position will cover an area within University of Richmond, Tuckahoe, Countryside, Lower Tuckahoe. Potentially upper Salisbury and Stony Point. Mostly in zip codes 23229, 23238, 23233 and nearby areas. (Potentially upper sections of 23113 and 23235). Interested independent contractors will start as a backup and fill in, and get connected with new clients to grow an established base. Most clients are vacationers and travelers, so availability either to handle all requests in certain time frames and service area is mandatory, or flexible availability for several visits a day is important.

Holidays include bonuses. Tips are all yours and while not guaranteed, providing repeated and exceptional service gets recognized!

This contracted position is is great for you if you are:

1. A self employed person who is all about animals and their well being, is self disciplined, motivated, is a problem solver and passionate about what they do.

2. Reliable, responsible and experienced in customer service and with dogs and cats. Know how to take charge and is not uncomfortable with big dogs or hissing cats!

3. Looking for supplemental income. Income is totally dependent on the number of visits requested, scheduled and completed, according to your availability.

4. Comfortable with a changing schedule and varied hours per week.

5. Has a working smart phone with the required level of data and wifi capacity. Is comfortable utilizing apps and has a laptop or computer backup.

6. Consistently available for specific time frames (7-11am, 10-3pm, 1-6pm, 5-9pm, Overnights 9pm-7am), or consistently available for a varied schedule.

7. Reliable transportation and a backup in case of car troubles-this is required to care for pets in their homes (You might be able to deduct mileage from your income taxes!), and visits cannot be missed. You will lose your visits if you call out with car trouble.

8. Likes the idea of earning incentives for bringing on new clients and sitters.

8. Live in or adjacent to zip codes 23229, 23238, 23233, (or in 23113, 23235) or willing to drive to those zip codes for varying visit times.

9. Interested in options for tax deductions for mileage and other work related expenses.

10. 18 years of age or older

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $13.00 - $27.00 per hour
