Pest Control Technician Jobs

As a Pest Control Technician for Rainbow Pest Experts (a division of Rainbow Companies), you will perform a variety of duties daily, including pest control services, communicating with customers, promoting add-on services, and logging all information in our customer database. Experience in pest control and/or customer service is a plus but not required. We will train anyone passionate about raising the standard from pest control to pest expert in our 100% employee-owned local company.

This is a full-time weekday position with overtime available. Our pest technicians work independently and only travel to our shop locations for training and restocking of supplies.

What You Will Do:

• Maintain the company vehicle with an inventory of supplies as outlined by our fleet department
• Electronically record all services promptly in our database
• Safely mix and apply pesticides to structures according to company, state, and federal standards
• Communicate with homeowners in a positive, professional manner

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license and commitment to safe driving
• Obtain pesticide applicator’s license within 30 days of start (we will pay for test)
• Ability to perform field work, including tasks performed on hands and knees, including during inclement weather

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in building construction or maintenance
• In-person sales experience

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Work is performed outdoors in any weather element. May be required to bend, reach, stoop, and lift objects; may be exposed to conditions including chemicals, the use of tools, and equipment. Safety precautions must be followed at all times, including the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and other safety equipment. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at any given time.
