Personal Trainer Jobs

Job Summary

Personal trainers develop and lead safe and effective programs for all clients to meet their fitness and wellness goals and needs and work one on one or in small group settings.

Essential Functions

• Other duties as assigned.
• Attend meetings or trainings as necessary.
• Execute Recreation Center emergency action plan when needed and perform first aid and/or CPR during emergencies.
• Keep PT suite organized, report any faults with equipment.
• Create customized workouts for each client based on fitness goals and needs.
• Assist in any additional events, programs or collaborations hosted by the Rec Center throughout the year.
• Attend all sessions on time and prepared with program made and ready to go (including appropriate work attire – Drexel work shirt, black pants, sneakers).
• Use current system to keep track of all client sessions and packages, as well as your shifts for timesheet.
• Open communication with clients to schedule assessments and sessions as necessary.
• Perform fitness assessments including but not limited to: body scans, skinfold, strength/endurance tests, etc.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certified, or ability to be certified.
• Nationally certified NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, AFAA, or related.

Preferred Qualifications

• Flexible schedule; able to work mornings, evenings, weekends.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology or related field.

Physical Demands

• Running, climbing
• Lifting up to 50lbs
• Bending, crouching, stooping
