Job Description


      Position Summary:
      The Registered Nurse (RN) manages the episode of patient care in partnership with persons, care givers, groups and other providers to reach a shared goal of delivering safe, quality health care. This patient care may be through direct care by the RN, or it may be through coordinating and supervising patient care delegated to, Nursing Assistants and other unlicensed assistive personnel.



      Education/Experience:

      Graduate of a school of nursing; Associate degree/Diploma in Nursing required.



      Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications/Licenses:

      1. Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients
      2. Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License
      3. BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines

      Additional Information:
      Registered Nurse to work throughout Perianesthesia Department, to include Pre-Procedure Assessment, Pre-op, Phase I, Phase II, and Extended Recovery. Works up to every other weekend, rotations for holidays, and night and weekend call. Two years PACU experience within the last five years preferred. Critical care experience considered. New grads not considered. Must have ACLS on start date and PALS within 3 months of hire. CPAN or CAPA certification preferred.
