Performing Arts Coordinator Part-Time

$17.85 - $22.32 per hour

Do you have a passion for teaching performing arts? Are you creative, energetic, organized and have extraordinary interpersonal skills? If you answered YES, the Performing Arts Coordinator position is for you! This position is responsible for assisting with the coordination of performing arts events and classes for all ages. The Performing Arts Coordinator provides leadership and direction to part-time staff and volunteers as assigned.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Current AED/CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Will have the ability to follow oral and written instructions and to work effectively with other employees and the general public.
• Must have excellent knowledge of the area of cultural arts.
• Has general knowledge of theater equipment, sound and lighting, and crowd management.
• Will have the ability to plan, organize, teach and sustain programs of performing arts education and related special events that promote and further the goals of recreation through cultural and performing arts.
• Must have prior performance experience and an understanding of stage/theater etiquette.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the fine arts or related fields, AND two years’ experience developing, conducting, and participating in performing arts programs, with one year supervisory experience, OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within thirty (30) days of employment.
• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.

We serve residents in Bow Mar, Columbine Valley, Centennial west of I-25, Littleton, Lone Tree and Sheridan and unincorporated portions of Douglas, Jefferson and Arapahoe counties. We operate four full-service recreation centers, golf courses, outdoor pools and restaurants, two ice centers and miniature golf courses, a botanical garden event center, a BMX track, a sports dome, batting cages, an entertainment center, a hotel and a nature center. In addition, we maintain nearly 3,800 acres of developed and open space land, including 119 multi-purpose athletic fields, more than 100 parks, nearly 80 miles of trails, 60 playgrounds, 56 tennis courts, and the 880-acre South Platte Park.
