Job Summary:

Consumer Insight, Measurement & Analytics (CIMA) is a part of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, and is a center of excellence leading strategy development and decision making through actionable data analytics, integration, and insights. Within CIMA, the Digital and Travel Operations Analytics (DTOA) team is focused on leveraging best practices in analytics to capture data, analyze, and optimize our digital and contact center channels to drive Guest satisfaction and business outcomes.

In your new role as Performance Analyst, you’ll provide measurement and analytical support for Contact Centers and pre arrival Walt Disney World Commerce. You’ll frequently engage in, forecasting, root-cause analysis, processing, quality assurance, ad hoc business analysis, as well as providing analytical support to the local operation and partners across the division. This includes development, administration, measurement, and analytics. You will succeed in this role if you are a self-starter, endlessly curious, detail-oriented, passionate about data storytelling, capable of dealing with ambiguity, and meeting strict timelines.

You will report to the Manager, Travel Operations Analytics and be located in Orlando, Florida.

What you will do

Performance Analytics and Forecasting
  • Execute programs critical to the business operation accurately under strict timelines
  • Present and communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to Senior Leadership and business partners
  • Monitor agent performance, proactively identify areas that require additional research, and own analyses from start to finish
  • Build presentations and visualizations to tell compelling stories with data
  • Conduct forecasting, ad hoc modeling, and deep-dive analysis to influence business decisions
  • Create, maintain, audit, and continuously optimize reports and files used to process numerous programs

Measurement and Analytics
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest data science trends and share knowledge and best practices with team members
  • Leverage multiple reporting systems and databases (Tableau, Snowflake, Hadoop, Dataiku, Excel, etc.) to conduct analyses and build/maintain reports
  • Monitor data quality and report accuracy; escalate if needed
  • Collaborate with team members, leaders, and business partners to answer abstract business questions with sound quantitative analyses and reproducible results
  • Apply innovative analytic approaches to test hypotheses and extract actionable insights

We’d love to hear from people with
  • Effective communication skills (verbal, written, and visual)
  • Proactive curiosity to understand the “Why” behind performance, decisions, etc.
  • Familiarity with forecasting including traditional statistical methods and/or machine learning or deep learning techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks and complete projects on time
  • Desire to excel in a fast-paced, complex, and ambiguous business environment
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of quantitative, non-internship experience in an analytical role
  • Experience with SQL and R or Python

Nice-to-Haves
  • Graduate degree and/or 4+ years of relevant experience in analytics or data science
  • Ability to quickly adapt and learn new programs and skills
  • Ability to maintain and grow relationships with partners/clients/team
  • Excellent SQL skills and fluency in R or Python
  • Solid understanding of statistical inference and demonstrated experience in applying statistical rigor to analyses
  • Knowledge of data visualization best practices and experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
