Shift Hours:

Full-Time / 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week), Monday-Friday, Days

The position posted is for a 1.0 full time equivalent need; however, candidates interested in 0.8-1.0 (32-40 hours per week) are encouraged to apply.

Bellin Health is looking for a highly engaged and driven occupational therapist specialized in pediatrics interested in a job with the opportunity to advance professionally. We are seeking someone who will contribute to our highly engaged culture driven to practice at the top of our scope of practice by utilizing the most evidence based care. The position is specifically targeting a professional with an aspiration for lifelong learning. This includes one on one mentorship opportunities working closely with experienced and skilled therapist with specialty training. All of our new team members are sponsored with paid time to complete specialty track coursework during their first year of employment to refine and enhance their skill set. Regular employees also are granted a subscription to MedBridge which allows for additional continuing education opportunities.

The position will include working as a part of our pediatric multi-disciplinary team including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy helping to expand and improve our ever-growing service offerings. Our pediatric program continues to expand with the growth of new service lines, team members, and facilities development including expanding into a new premier state of the art pediatric building in 2024.

Performs and documents occupational therapy evaluation, treatment, and discharge of patient according to established patient goals consistent with physician referrals in the pediatric population. Communicates with patient, family, and members of health care team. Educates patient and public on health, wellness, and prevention of injury and illness as they pertain to occupational therapy.

Responsible and accountable for independently providing quality professional occupational therapy services to patients and their families and significant others adhering to the WI Occupational Therapy Practice Act, AOTA Guide for Professional Conduct and Code of Ethics and Bellin Health Policies and Procedures. The responsibility includes providing a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors and working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary health care team to provide the best outcomes for the patient .

Qualifications:

Wisconsin occupational therapy license and CPR certification required.

Prefer a minimum of 1 year clinical experience in the pediatric field. Will accept new graduates with mentorship provided.
