IMC is currently hiring a PEC Sitter, who working under the supervision and guidance of professional staff, the Patient Care Tech/Patient Sitter provides observation of patients and when appropriate, performs various patient care activities necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patient.

EDUCATION:

• High school graduate.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

• Previous experience preferred, but not required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:

• Basic knowledge of the nursing process and nursing principles.
• CPR

Responsibilities

• Maintains and protects confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care.
• Assists patients with eating, mobility, dressing, and toileting.
• Assists staff with obtaining and recording vital signs.
• Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of patient and organizational data.
• Adheres to the Patient Safety Goals.
• Consistently lives by Iberia Medical Center’s Standards of Performance.
• Demonstrates respect for patients and families.
• Functions as a positive role model for peers and promotes a professional image of Iberia Medical Center.
