About the job

We are seeking a creative and talented individual to join our team as a Tech Content Writer. In this role, you will be responsible for producing engaging computer-based tech content, benchmarking PC hardware, writing scripts, and developing original ideas to captivate our audience. A great sense of humor, flexibility, and a willingness to adapt and learn are essential for success in this position. Please provide a portfolio of past work with your application. Part-time or Full-Time is possible depending on your needs.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop original ideas, concepts, and formats for tech content, pushing the boundaries to deliver innovative and engaging content.
  • Proven experience creating computer-based tech content, preferably in a professional capacity.
  • Write engaging scripts for videos, presentations, and live streams, incorporating humor and creativity to keep the audience entertained while delivering technical information effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong knowledge of PC hardware components, their specifications, and their impact on performance.
  • Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions, sharing ideas and providing input to improve content quality and delivery.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information in a clear, concise, and entertaining manner.
  • Collaborate with hardware manufacturers and industry experts to stay informed about upcoming releases, technological advancements, and industry events.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and factual correctness in all content produced.
  • Conduct in-depth benchmarking and analysis of PC hardware components, including CPUs, GPUs, and others to provide accurate and detailed performance insights.
  • Proficiency in scriptwriting, incorporating humor and creativity to engage and entertain the audience.
  • Create entertaining and informative tech content, including long-form video scripts (traditional YouTube videos), short-form (TikTok, YT Shorts) video scripts, tutorials, and reviews, targeting a diverse audience of tech enthusiasts.
  • Engage with the audience through various channels, including social media, forums, and comments sections, responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and fostering a positive community around our content.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and developments in the tech industry, and proactively research and experiment with new techniques and tools to enhance content creation.
  • A passion for technology, gaming, and the latest trends in the tech industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, Computer Science, or related field preferred;
  • Familiarity with benchmarking methodologies and tools for evaluating PC hardware performance.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
