Job Description
What is a patient sitter? A person who provides companionship and emotional support to patients who need to be supervised at all times. This important position is non-clinical in nature; the sitter will be instructed to alert the patient care team when needed.

Important things to know about the job:
  • Likely 12 or 8 hour shifts
  • Day shift
  • PRN (which means we do not guarantee hours for this position - it is on an "as needed" basis.)
JOB SUMMARY:
Assists in the care and support of the patient needing one on one (1:1) care.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to function in stressful situations.
  • High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Able to hear, or correctable with hearing devices, and able to talk to converse with others in person and over the phone.
  • Demonstrates adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to read and write.
  • Able to work in latex burdened environment.
