Job Description
BayCare's General and Vascular Surgery Clinic is seeking a Patient Services Representative! This individual will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors at our front desk! Hours would be Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm. No nights, weekends or holidays!
Description Of Duties
  • Greets and checks in patients.
  • Works in a safe, compliant, and ethical manner at all times.
  • Enters pertinent information into patient charts.
  • Answers phones, takes messages, routes calls when necessary.
  • Develops patient charts.
  • Respects and maintains confidentiality.
  • Assists patients in filling out patient forms.
  • Collects co-payments from patients.
  • Schedules patient appointments.
  • Performs general office duties.
Qualifications/Certifications/Licensure Needed:
  • Must have a working knowledge of medical terms and health insurance.
  • Experience with EPIC is preferred.
  • A minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
  • Post high school coursework in Medical Terminology and/or HealthCare Business Services is appropriate.
  • Prior experience in a medical setting is preferred.
  • Must possess strong desktop computer skills.
