Job Description
Overview:
Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Patient Care Technician for the Emergency Department at Morristown Medical Center to work 7AM - 7PM, including weekends as needed.
Responsibilities:
Essential Function/Responsibilities:
  • Observing and reporting changes in patients’ condition to the RN
  • Performing EKG’s, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring
  • Assisting patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities
  • Assisting patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, dressing
  • Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.
  • Maintaining phlebotomy equipment and inventory and all other duties assigned.
  • Assist RN/ MD with patient care technician duties in the Emergency Department.
  • Obtaining and recording vital signs, weights, and heights
Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience:
  • Prior PCT, Nursing Assistant experience is strongly preferred.
  • EMT certification and or nursing assistant certification is strongly preferred
