StarTECH - Patient Care Tech Training


Full Time

Alaska Regional Hospital is now offering a five (5) week Patient Care Tech training program with continued employment.

Schedule


If selected for this position you will attend paid training starting on August 7th which will be Monday-Friday 8 am - 5 pm for 3 weeks, then 2 weeks of clinical orientation - 12 hour shifts 7pm-7am. Upon completion of that training you must be available to work FULL TIME, which is three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends and holidays.

Job Summary


The Patient Care Technician (PCT) delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Our Star Tech training program gives you the training you need to be successful in this important role!


Under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), the PCT assists the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the PCT’s skills/training and the needs of the Department, and consistently assists the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment.


Qualifications


  • If you have a current C.N.A. certification you may not be eligible for this position (Please apply for positions labeled Patient Care Tech/PCT).
  • No healthcare experience is required but customer service experience is helpful.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • A desire to work in the healthcare industry and care for patients.
