About the job

Viksnins Harris Padys Malen LLP, a boutique patent prosecution firm, is searching for an experienced patent paralegal with 5+ years of experience to join our firm in Bloomington, Minnesota. Resumes will be accepted from individuals meeting the following requirements.


Responsibilities

This position is responsible for all aspects of U.S., PCT and Foreign patent prosecution. Daily job duties include but are not limited to:


Preparing and filing patent documents with the USPTO and WIPO


Corresponding with and instructing foreign associates regarding foreign prosecution


Analyzing USPTO, PCT, and foreign associate correspondence


Corresponding with clients to keep them apprised of prosecution developments


Managing daily, weekly and monthly docket tasks


Maintaining electronic records


Working collaboratively with other patent paralegals, IDS paralegals, docketers, and attorneys


Qualifications

Requirements for this position include:


5+ years of intellectual property or patent prosecution experience preferred


Experience with FoundationIP or other patent docketing system preferred


Experience with NetDocuments preferred


Experience with Centerbase preferred


Bachelor's Degree required


Paralegal Certificate preferred


Strong attention to detail and organizational skills


Outstanding communication skills


Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment


Must be a self-starter with independent thinking skills


Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, primarily Word, Excel and Outlook
