Guaranteed 15 hours/week with the expectation to flex up to 28 hours/week from January through April or during other peak times.

Position Description

• Manages dietary supplements and probiotics.
• Maintains strict confidentiality of members’ Protected Health Information and is bound by Vivante Health’s confidentiality agreement.
• Assists members in setting health goals and supports accountability for goal attainment.
• Assists members in maintaining engagement with GIThrive, Vivante Health’s learning and engagement technology platform.
• Documents according to established guidelines and Vivante Health expectations.
• Provides one-on-one HIPAA-compliant telephonic, video, and instant message coaching to members seeking improved digestion and relief from chronic digestive conditions.
• Provides individualized and holistic health coaching based on member’s primary concern, including but not limited to: stress management, mindfulness, healthy sleep, medication adherence, self-advocacy, physical activity, self-monitoring, and assistance with the app GIThrive.
• Practices within HIPAA/state/federal guidelines, Vivante Health’s Standards of Care, within personal licensure and scope, and refers to other disciplines according to Vivante escalation plans and guidelines.
• Contributes articles for blog or website posts and content for the GIThrive platform.
• Provides Medical Nutrition Therapy to members based on state(s) licensure and based on the member’s primary concern, including but not limited to Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Ostomy Nutrition, Short Bowel Syndrome, Diverticulitis, Chronic Constipation or Diarrhea, Gastroparesis, Elimination Diets, FODMAP Diet, Food Allergies and Intolerances, SIBO, and Malnutrition.
• Provides education on a variety of topics.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team for optimal care for the members.
• Applies evidence-based strategies to promote symptom relief, condition treatment, and behavior change.
• Assists members in completing action plans and learning courses through GIThrive.
• Manages symptoms related to gastrointestinal and other comorbid disease conditions.

Required Qualifications

• Registered dietitian status certified through CDR
• Proof of required licensure as stated by the RD's home state
• A minimum of one year of outpatient dietitian experience
• Flexibility to work with variable individual schedules across multiple time zones, including one evening per week. Your schedule will be created two months in advance.
• Quiet and professional dedicated workspace with secure high-speed internet access
• Self-directed, highly organized, and able to multitask
• Minimum of Bachelor's degree
• Technologically savvy, able to pick up new technology quickly and seamlessly. We make updates to our app often!
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, specifically the ability to engage in a dynamic clear conversation by telephone or video

Preferred Qualifications

• Multi-state licensure
• Experience with Motivational Interviewing, SMART goal setting, assessing stages of change/readiness, etc.
• Certified Health Coach: NBC-HWC credentials preferably, Wellcoaches, International Coach Federation, Duke Integrative Medicine, National Society of Health Coaches, American Council on Exercise.
• Master’s degree in Dietetics or Human Nutrition
• Bilingual (Spanish)

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience and ranges between $26-33/hr per hour.
