Together, Axia Women's Health puts women first by delivering the personalized care needed for women to lead healthier, happier lives. We have an opening for a part time LPN located in Livingston, NJ.
Patient Care:
- Complete NSTs as prescribed by MFM physician
- Assisting MFM Provider with various procedures and triage of request forms
- Maintain patient records by accurately recording medical history, vital statistics, etc., and scanning related documents, when needed
- Provide GDM teaching and registration with preferred partner for weekly blood sugar logs; provide instruction based on MFM physician's review
- Perform blood draws and ensure accurate recording of lab slips and coordinate daily pick ups
Patient Records:
- Ensure lab reports are available in EMR system and follow-up with patients regarding negative reviewed carrier screenings
- Completing forms/requisitions as needed to ensure patient records are accurate and claims can be properly billed.
- Adheres to Patient Confidentiality Policies and HIPAA regulations.
- Coordinating patient medical record requests, as needed
Quality Control and OSHA:
- Adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines and standardized quality control methods to provide the highest quality of patient care.
- Setting up instruments and equipment according to department protocols, cleaning exam/procedure rooms and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control, maintaining and cleaning sterilizer according to scheduled maintenance program, and restocking exam/procedure rooms.
Qualified candidates will have experience as a License Practical Nurse, a degree from an accredited nursing program, a current New Jersey license as a Licensed Practical Nurse, CPR certification, and a minimum of 2 years experience working in an OB/GYN setting. Knowledge of CPT coding, lab specific order sets, and eClinicalWorks are beneficial.
PT Hours: M, W & Fr 8am-4pm
