Description

POSITION OVERVIEW


The Parts Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring that spare parts and other equipment necessary to keep the facility running smoothly are available and deployed when needed. This position will coordinate with facilities shops for parts runs and deliveries.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Perform physical inventories of parts, materials, supplies, equipment, and tools
  • Ensure adherence to all OSHA safety requirements and casino safety polices
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary
  • Provide a current Nevada Motor Vehicle Report every 6 months and immediately notify department leader of any changes to the Driver’s License status
  • Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of all applicable rules, regulations and controls of the property
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient parts room
  • Communicate with vendors for receiving and distribution of parts
  • Maintain an accurate inventory
  • Receive and verify incoming shipments of parts and supplies
  • Assist technicians and mechanics with locating parts needed for repairs
  • Support programs that identify and accounts for assets

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Basic knowledge and understanding of inventory procedures
  • A thorough and detailed knowledge of computerized inventory management systems
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Polished appearance and demeanor
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures
  • At least six months of similar experience in a Facilities department
  • Must be able to maintain a clean DMV record
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from other Members or guests

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the Member is regularly required to stand and use hands and fingers to handle or utilize objects, tools, or controls. The Member frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision.

The Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
