Part Time Security Guard

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

REQUIRES good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices, gaming regulations and enforcement procedures.

• Pit fills and credits.
• The pass down log must be viewed on a daily basis by team members. This is a communication log for team members to pass information from one shift to another. This must be utilized by team members, managers, and supervisors.
• It is everyone’s responsibility to keep their department clean. But everyone must also be responsible for the cleanliness of the casino (if you are “21”). When walking through the casino if you see dirty ash trays take them to the bartender and switch the ash trays out with a clean one. If you see empty bottles or glasses pick them up. Pick up paper or garbage as you are walking from the parking lot or through the casino. Take pride in Stockman’s property.
• Serve as a training officer to new security staff.
• Circulates among the guests to ensure courteous and friendly service. Making your presence known on the floor for safety and security.
• Transporting game fills, credits and cash.
• Changes surveillance tapes on schedule, entering on log sheet of the times.
• Escort guests and team members to their cars as requested.
• It is the team members, responsibility to check the memo book on a daily basis for any new memo’s that have been placed into effect. It is the responsibility of the team member to check the memo book for any meetings that might be scheduled and who should attend.
• Transport guests to and from Stockman’s Casino when Transportation is offered.
• Assist in signing and verifying jackpots as needed.
• Discussion about guest or another team member is kept out of the work station at all times. If you need to speak to a Supervisor about a guest or team member take it off the floor to the away from other guests and team members.
• Random security patrols of the casino parking lot, business offices and casino floor.
• Makes entries in patrol log/pass down log book as they happen.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Inform management to call law enforcement when necessary and fill out the appropriate incident reports.
• Drop and secure cash drop boxes from gaming tables.
• Transport team members to and from the hospital or doctor’s office in case of accident.
• Handle the removal of guests from premises, quietly, but firmly and without incident if at all possible. Documentation of the incident and reason for the removal.
• Protecting the property from theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire and accidents.
• Keep accurate trip records.
• All team members are required to clock in and out on the facial recognition system. The team member must properly clock in and out for lunch breaks. (The team member is NOT required to clock in and out for their 10 minute break.)
• Investigates and writes reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards and other security related situations.
• Ensure safety and security to Stockman’s patrons, team members, and assets.
