About The Role

Salvo health is looking for an experienced registered dietician/nutritionist to play an integral role on our care team - both with patient care and in the creation of educational content.

This role will work directly with patients, offering personalized nutrition and wellness counseling to reduce symptoms and improve quality of life. As a senior member of the care team, you will work with our Medical Director and external experts to iterate on core diet and nutrition content, as well as processes and procedures.

This role will empower patients with the knowledge and tools to make lasting behavioral changes that will improve clinical outcomes and overall wellness. You’ll serve as one of our patients’ primary success partners, with responsibilities including: addressing member health questions, providing relevant educational resources, and fostering positive member accountability. What You Will Do

• Provide exceptional nutrition counseling, disease management and health education to patients
• Interpret clinical protocols and recommendations into relatable, concise educational content for Salvo’s app
• Help clients understand their motivations and create behavior change plans
• Create and distribute health education materials to individual members when necessary
• Create personalized action plans with guidelines to reduce or eliminate unwanted behaviors
• Translate complex medical ideas into digestible messages for a D2C lay audience, including performing research as required to ensure understanding
• Create and revise consumer-facing content advising on nutrition best practices for chronic GI conditions
• Work with a cross-functional product team to develop and constantly improve our in-app patient experience
• Coordinate with clinical team to provide an exceptional patient experience
• Work with clinical team and outside advisors to draft policies and protocols to ensure consistency of RD care delivery
• Conduct regular outreach to patients, based on their needs and preferences, to support engagement and elicit behavior change
• Develop and maintain professional, support-oriented working relationships with patients and team members
• Support goal setting for individual patients asynchronously to help them better manage their chronic conditions and associated dietary needs

Requirements

• Experience and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Demonstrates a willingness to go above and beyond normal responsibilities to provide the best care possible
• Passion for working with clients to facilitate behavior change by helping them set health goals and modify food intake to effectively manage chronic disease
• Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with patients in a clinic setting preferred
• Bachelor’s degree required
• RD/RDN license
• Strong personal computing skills - remote work experience preferred
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Experience communicating with patients asynchronously preferred
• Passion for and commitment to functional medicine approaches
• 5+ years experience as a an RD or RDN
• Experience in healthcare, science, or medical copywriting preferred
