About The Role
As a subject tutor, you will teach, support, guide and assess adult students who would like to achieve a grade 4 or above in GCSE English Language qualification (AQA). You will monitor and support students' progress regularly with timely interventions and enable students to manage their workload by providing them with structure and helping them develop strategies. Full training given in the use of our award-winning Online platform for the right candidate. You do not need to be a qualified teacher, your vocational experience is really important to us.
This is a casual, fixed term contract, due to start August 2023. Salary will be dependent on learner achievement.
What do you need to be successful as an Online Tutor at Activate Learning?
Successful candidates will need to to be qualified to Level 3 (A-Level) in English and have previous practical teaching experience coupled with a teaching qualification, (PGCE or equivalent). It would be an added benefit to understand the student experience of GCSE English by having completed this route to A-Level.
As this is a home based role with many of our students studying in the evening, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes that we aspire to develop within our learners. You can be based anywhere in the UK to do this role.
