The New York Islanders Hockey Club is one of the most iconic franchises in professional sports, with a deeply passionate and loyal fanbase. The 2022-23 season marked the 50th Anniversary of Islanders hockey, and we are continuing to commemorate our history to propel us forward. Isles Nation celebrates four consecutive Stanley Cups in the 1980s, numerous all-stars and hall of famers, a state-of-the-art arena, millions raised for charities in our communities, and much more. We will add on to that legacy with the help of our diverse team that embodies what it means to be a part of the Blue & Orange.

How to Make the Team


We are hiring a Game Night Retail Brand Ambassador. If you are a passionate about building your retail career in the sports & entertainment industry, then we want to get to know you.The Game Night Retail Brand Ambassador promotes our brands and ensures guests have a memorable experience shopping at UBS Arena. You will engage guests to help find that perfect item that they must have. Every guest that comes in can help spread brand awareness

We're looking for an enthusiastic lover of sports, live entertainment, and people. You have a true passion for engaging in meaningful interactions and creating memorable experiences for all guests. You strive to be helpful, engaging, and knowledgeable of all things New York Islanders and UBS Arena. You enjoy being a part of an exciting and dynamic group, and you’re committed to continuously enhancing the productivity and effectiveness of your team. Lastly, you enjoy working hard and celebrating hard, and you’d be shocked if guests weren’t positively impacted by their interactions with you.
Show Us You Can

  • Open and close our retail stores while handling accurate bank and store keys
  • Promote our brand and product in a positive and enthusiastic manner
  • Greet and sell Islanders merchandise to our guests
  • Maintain a clean and sterile work environment for the health and safety of team members and guests
  • Assist Retail Managers and Lead Ambassadors in-store operations
  • Control and maintain accurate merchandise inventory
  • Engage our guests to create a unique and individualized experience
What Skills You’ll Use

Your Equipment

  • Flexible schedule and ability to work late hours, weekends, long nights, and holidays. Must have availability to work 80% of scheduled events monthly
  • Punctuality and reliability are a must
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to adapt to different guest interactions and situations
  • Ability to walk, stand and sit for long periods of time
  • Willingness to learn and be able to work well within a team
  • Outstanding and welcoming personality and work ethic
  • Previous experience in retail a plus
