Park Maintenance Worker Full-time, Hourly Hourly Range: $20.98 - $22.33/hr Closing Date: 4/20/2023, or upon the receipt of 50 application submissions Job Summary: Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of a park unit to ensure quality facilities and amenities and a safe environment; preserve and enhance department assets; ensure quality service and product delivery.   • Maintain buildings and facilities such as pavilions, shelters, service yards, clubhouses, and pool buildings. Maintenance to include, but not limited to: general cleaning, rental set up, waxing and stripping floors, graffiti removal, inspection, building and repairing picnic tables.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to push, pull, lift and carry 50 lbs.; ability to operate vehicles, hand tools, power tools, and machinery to complete job tasks; knowledge of parks and recreation; knowledge of general maintenance; knowledge of sport court and field maintenance; ability to troubleshoot and make decisions.   • Turf and Grounds Maintenance
  • Maintain park roadways, drives, parking lots, and pathways. Maintenance to include, but not limited to: cold patching, line striping, cleaning catch basins, snow removal, and salting.
  • Associate's degree or higher in Parks & Recreation, Horticulture, Agronomy or Turf Management preferred
  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire

  • Maintain park green space to include, but not limited to: mowing, trimming, fertilization, aerification, seeding, weeding, planting, mulching, and irrigation.
  • Maintain baseball, softball, t-ball, soccer, rugby, football, hurling, and cricket fields. Maintain tennis, basketball, futsal, and bike polo courts. Maintenance of fields and courts include, but not limited to: crack filling, weeding, lining, goal set up, dragging and spiking infields, and net replacement.
