Position Overview

  • Your role will require compassion, empathy, and precise attention to detail to ensure exceptional client service.
  • Entry level, new graduate or breaking into the legal field are welcomed as long as you are customer serviced oriented.
  • We are seeking Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join our team at our Wall Street office. In this role, you will provide support to our clients. If you are bilingual Spanish and English that is a big PLUS.
  • Your primary responsibilities will include explaining legal documents, engaging with clients over phone or video calls, and working collaboratively with attorneys and other paralegals to address client comments, questions, and concerns.


Responsibilities

  • Client Communication:Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing support, guidance, and explanations regarding legal documents, processes, and procedures.
  • Confidentiality and Ethics:Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines, ensuring the protection of client information and maintaining the highest ethical standards of the legal profession.
  • Professional Development:Stay updated on legal developments, industry trends, and changes in regulations, particularly in areas relevant to the firm’s practice. Continuously enhance knowledge and skills through professional development opportunities.
  • Engagewith clients over the phone, demonstrating compassion, empathy, and a high level of professionalism.
  • Document Explanation:Translate and explain legal documents, contracts, and other materials to clients in an understanding patient way, ensuring they have a clear understanding of their contents, implication, and next steps. Address client questions and concerns with precision and accuracy.
  • Research and Analysis:Conduct legal research when necessary and analysis under the guidance of attorneys. Compile relevant information, statues, and regulations to support case preparations and client representation. Summarize finding and present them in a concise manner.
  • Translate Services:Provide accurate translation services for legal documents, correspondence, and other materials from English to Spanish and vice versa. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of legal terminology and concept during the translation process.
  • Client Support:Work collaboratively with attorneys and other paralegals to provide comprehensive client support. Assist in gathering information, preparing legal documents, and conducting legal research as needed. Ensure all client requests are addressed promptly and efficiently.
  • Team Collaboration:Collaborate with attorneys, other paralegals, and support staff to address client needs effectively. Participate in team meetings, contribute insights, and provide support to ensure exceptional client service and optimal case outcomes.
  • Case Management:Maintain organized and up-to-date client files and databases. Track and document client interactions, including phone calls, meetings, and correspondence. Update internal systems and calendars to ensure accurate and timely case management.



Qualifications:

  • Bilingual Proficiency:Fluent in both English and Spanish a BIG PLUS. Either way, exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively explain complex legal concepts to clients who may have varying levels of legal literacy.
  • Collaboration Skills:Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Attention to Detail:Exceptional attention to detail and precision in work. Ability to accurately translate legal documents, review documents for errors, and ensure completeness.
  • Compassion and Empathy:Demonstrated ability to interact with clients with compassion, empathy, and cultural sensitivity. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Technological Proficiency:Proficiency in using online based systems such as a CRM or Google Suite.
  • Organizational Skills:Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure.
