Paid Social and Display Manager


*This position is located onsite, at our Park City, UT headquarters office*


Backcountry is looking for a Paid Social & Display Manager r esponsible for operation and execution of Backcountry Paid Social and Display channels, along with providing support for Competitive Cyclist and Steep & Cheap. This p osition will be respon sible for day-to-day management, reporting, and optimization while overseeing testing and strategy that drives growth and profit in support of key company initiatives. The role is based out of our corporate office in Park City, Utah r eporting to the Sr. Director Performance Marketing.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Partner with Marketing Analytics on planning, forecasting, and spend/efficiency targets
  • Lead testing within existing channels in addition to new ones to help diversify mix with learnings that can be scaled to other channels or across sites
  • Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly reporting and communication while proactively participating in appropriate meetings
  • Support of key company initiatives including retail, owned brands, and loyalty where applicable
  • Manage campaign structure, optimization, and strategy to drive acquisition growth and retention profitability
  • Stay on top of industry trends relevant to the channels and the business
  • Responsible for operation and execution of Competitive Cyclist and Steep & Cheap Paid Social and Display channels, along with providing support for Backcou ntry
  • Collaborate with Paid Social Creative Specialist to test and implement creative best practices across channels


Qualifications , Skills & Abilities


  • Must have strong understanding of digital marketing, growth/performance marketing, paid social, and display along with concepts like attribution, incrementality, margin, and payback/breakeven
  • 4 - 6 + years of Facebook Ads Manager experience at scale, preferably in a retail ecommerce environment; Display (Criteo, GDN) and/or DSP (DV360, The Trade Desk) experience is a plus
  • Experience with Facebook or equivalent Display tools like Conversion Lift, Conversions API , Brand Lift, and A/B Tests in addition to Catalog Sales, Conversions, and Reach objectives
  • Exceptional, detailed-oriented analytical skills while able to leverage data to develop actionable, data-based recommendations using Looker, GA360, and Excel fluency
  • Passion and experience in the outdoor industry is a plus
  • Outstanding professional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships among stakeholders
  • BA/BS required with strong academic record
  • Comfortable in a highly entrepreneurial, fast pace environment and lean team
