Job Title: Packaging Associate

Job Type: Manufacturing

Reports to: Packaging Lead

Salary Range: $16 - $19 per hour

Location: Purplebee’s - 30899 US-50 BUS, Pueblo, CO 81006


Position Objective:

We are seeking a strong individual for our packaging department, to include inventory control, filling hardware, quality control, working with cannabis plant material, and the construction of the final Purplebee’s product for sale. The individual must have a good understanding of the Metrc Inventory Tracking System and the MED rules and regulations. Our packaging department is a fast-paced work environment that requires attention to detail. As a Packaging Associate, the work performed by the employee shall be under the general supervision of the packaging department leader.


Essential Functions:

  • Ability to obtain Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge
  • Develop a strong understanding of the Metrc Inventory Tracking System
  • Strong attention to detail and maintain overall quality of the materials through production process
  • Package finished products with a high degree of task-focus
  • Ensure all finished goods have been checked to meet quality standards
  • Develop an autonomous command of all packaging procedures
  • A positive and professional attitude and a consistent work ethic; must be self-motivated and work well alone as well as on a team.
  • Fill, box, and label product to meet daily packaging targets according to SOPS
  • Execute daily, weekly, and monthly routine equipment cleaning and maintenance
  • Ability to remain flexible to changes in responsibilities and scheduling
  • Perform daily janitorial tasks (sweeping, cleaning, mopping, taking out trash, washing fixtures, etc.) of assigned work area areas
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly routine inventory tracking and spreadsheets
  • Observe and maintain the highest standards of 5S methodology
  • Ensures work area is clean and free of safety hazards
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations
  • Prep, sample, and run plant material through a variety of pre-roll machines
  • Ensure all production is accurately recorded into the ERP tracking system

Education and Experience Required:

  • Must be able to lift a 50-pound load and carry it for 50 feet repeatedly

  • Must possess, at his/her own expense, an unexpired MED Industry Employee badge prior to employment and at all times thereafter as an employee of the company.

Working Conditions (Schedule, Environment, Travel)

  • This position is held within a highly compliant and secured manufacturing facility.
  • Willing to perform additional duties as necessary to maintain a compliant, clean, safe, and inviting environment for our team members and customers supporting all licensed activities is required.

Schedule will vary depending on the needs of the business (Nights, Weekends, Holidays included).
