Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Packager ( Slitter) in Athens, AL. Our client is a trusted name in flat rolled steel processing. Our client provides custom manufactured oscillated slit coils and steel products. The Packager ( Slitter) is responsible for ensuring material is on proper skid and packaged according to workorder specifications.
Responsibilities Of a Packager ( Slitter) Includes

• Remove old stand from line.
• Build stand according to knife sheet.
• Keep work area clean.
• Replace with new stand.
• Check clearances on cutter stands.
• Figure knife sheets.
• Tear down old stand.
• Run slitter machine at required production levels.
• Check appropriate knives for Knicks and sharpness.
• Put up spacers and rubbers.
• Lay out needed spacers and rubbers.

Job Requirements Of a Packager

• Drug screening and background checks are required.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Detail orientated with the ability to multi-task.
• High school diploma or GED certificate ( preferred).
• Experience using and reading calipers and other forms for measurements.
