This position will manage communications and marketing, event planning, community engagements, and other activities related to promoting the inclusion of youth voice through Youth Council/Empowerment Board activities. Provides overall support for outreach services to current and former foster youth. Assist the IL Transitional team with the delivery of services to young adults who are disconnected from the Independent Living program

Assist with the development of an outreach plan, that is site-specific, to address public awareness and outreach activities targeting youth and young adults who are most at-risk and most likely to become delinquent.
2. Work with local governments and county school liaisons to identify and educate youth/young adults within the foster care system on IL services/benefits and programs.
3. Assist with coordinating and facilitating the monthly Youth Empowerment Advisory Council meetings and recruit volunteers to serve on the council.
4. Attend and participate in community events and meetings to promote services and advocacy for young adults, such as One Voice Impact (OVI) and Florida Youth Shine (FYS).
5. Participate in funder/external and agency staff meetings as scheduled.
6. Support and assist with the coordination of agency fund raisers pertaining to transition youth/post 18 young adults.
7. Complete monthly statistical reports for outreach services and presentations.
8. Work closely with Data/ Quality Assurance Specialist, EFC and IL Coordinators as to completing annual required contacts that is required by statute, contract and other regulations.
9. All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Service discipline and three years of related child welfare case management or experience working with children/adolescents and families. Master’s degree with Two years of supervisory experience preferred. The number of years of experience and exact type of experience shall be in accordance with COA and applicable contract/funding requirements.
