Looking for an Oracle/SQL Server database administrator to work with a team of senior database administrators and middleware administrators on internal and customer facing database systems. This role will support both Oracle and SQL Server databases that are used for client applications. This position offers exposure to leading edge database technologies including Exadata and cloud platforms with growth and advancement potential into increasing levels of leadership and responsibilities.

Job Requirements:

  • Complete Planning and documentation prior to new integration or implementation.
  • Ensure all Change management procedures are followed and adhered to.
  • Perform operations in a manner in which the impact on database downtime is minimized and in accordance with established customer standard operating procedures.
  • Manage database user account creation, access and permissions
  • Perform all configuration and maintenance-level database administrative functions
  • SQL tuning, backup and restore.
  • Analyze and resolve database user ticket issues

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent relevant academic qualifications.
  • Client needs a DBA who has both Oracle and SQL Server experience to provide production support. Do not need an engineer rather who can support the systems and troubleshoot issues.The DBA will process trouble tickets that come thru the service console. Need someone who has specifically done this and worked with a trouble ticket systems. Experience with the following technologies: AlwaysOn Failover cluster and Performance Tuning.
