Job Description

We are looking for multiskilled person who is primarily a Oracle Database Administrator and also having hands on experience in SQL Server and Exadata to support the firm's functional areas such as business, and manufacturing domains. This exciting new position will bridge technology and business operations to create efficient workflows creating value for client.


Job Responsibilities

  • Proven incident and crisis management experience supporting critical enterprise databases
  • Partner with the process owners to develop a deep end-to-end understanding of processes targeted for automation and outline the impacted processes and business requirements
  • Solve database and SQL performance issues and help in tuning Oracle as well as SQL
  • Maintain, and manage latest versions of stand-alone Oracle environments that run on Oracle enterprise/standard editions including Oracle RAC, Oracle Exadata as well as Oracle EBS environments as Oracle EBS administrator
  • Establish code version management standards and tools
  • Maintaining the availability of Oracle database version 19c, 12c in a production and non-production environments on Linux platforms.
  • Upgrade all Oracle environments with necessary database upgrades, security patches from Oracle Corporation while coordinating with application owners
  • Development experience such as Linux shell scripting, Python, YAML or any other
  • Ensure that performance reliability and scalability of development and test capabilities are improved across Solution Delivery
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate Wolfspeed project management tools.
  • Develop and lead implementation of the system upgrade releases and cloud-readiness plans to help modernize our application and infrastructure environment
  • Perform database capacity planning related to database growth and system utilization, trend analysis and predicting future database resource requirements
  • Enforce best database security practices for all Oracle environments
  • Implement operational resilience enhancements / projects such as database and application upgrades, patch application, Disaster Recovery testing, system backup / restore testing
  • Setup OEM alerts and database discovery in OEM, creating Blackouts and monitoring templates
  • Familiarity and awareness of implementing and supporting databases in an AWS Cloud Infrastructure environment.
  • Provide support for Agile processes
  • Ability to delegate DBA tasks to other team members as required for supporting 24x7 database operations
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and administer SQL Server database engine, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and/or SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • In depth hand on experience of the concepts, architecture, and administration of Oracle databases
  • Act as a liaison between business and technical resources

  • Advanced T-SQL knowledge. Ability to understand and troubleshoot complex queries.
  • Strong work ethics in working closely with team members, business partners in collaborating with automation opportunities
  • Strong analytical skills, coupled with a logical, disciplined, and structured approach to documentation and procedures
  • Experience working with a large-scale Virtualized Server Environment.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability
  • Experience in tuning problematic SQL code in production environments
  • Willingness to learn other database platforms
  • Demonstrated project and process management skills, including knowledge of large-scale enterprise application SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and Project Management Professional (PMP) principles
  • Exposure to Oracle Enterprise Business System Suite administration
  • Proven ability to lead internal and external resources through the requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment phases of complex software projects
  • Ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions in the moment
  • Successful record of accomplishment in having managed projects involving globally distributed resources
  • Must have prior experience in installing, maintaining Oracle RAC, Exadata environments with strong exposure to Oracle EBS administration on Linux platforms
  • Ability to work within a 24/7 environment across multiple time zones
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2008 – 2019), particularly in a 24x7 manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrable database administration skills with 19c, 12c versions in a production and non-production environments on Linux platforms
  • Experience with SSIS, SSAS and/or SSRS.
  • Ability to lead database operations with third-party support team as well as globally distributed development teams
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability and desire to engage with all functions/businesses across a global enterprise in driving project activities forward as well as resolving project related issues or mitigating project risks
  • Excellent facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Excellent spoken and written communication. Assertive and confident raising action points with senior individuals
  • Passionate about automation using RPA (Robotic Process Automation) around database administration
  • Ability to translate requirements into processes and controls
  • Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions
  • Must be capable of deploying and using Oracle Enterprise Manager for database administration, performance tuning, and monitoring


Skills and Certifications

  • Proficient with the Project and Portfolio Management Tools (MS-Project, MS-SharePoint, MS-Excel, etc.)
  • Exposure to Netapp, snapshots, strong Unix scripting is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related fields, or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server databases
  • Certified Oracle Database Administrator on Linux platforms with a minimum of 5 - 10 years' experience in Oracle Exadata, RAC, and EBS administration
  • Experience with manufacturing, ideally in the Industrial Electronics and Electrical Equipment industry, preferred
  • Practical understanding of software development methodologies (i.e. AIM, Agile Scrum, Kanban)
