Optical Team Member (Entry-level) - Look Optical, 44th Ave
General & Responsibilities
Look Optical is looking for talented indivituals who are interested in learning new skills and expanding their industry knowledge. Optical Team Members will be trained on all things related to optical health, eyewear sales, and office admin. Primary responsabilities include:

• Answering office phone and scheduling eye exams.
• Perform adjustments and repairs of eyewear
• Verifying vision insurance and benefits
• Placing eyewear orders and billing insurance accordingly
• Provide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames
• Educate patients on their corrective lens options and help them make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as lifestyle preferences
• Communicate with physician with questions or concerns about prescriptions and other eye-related issues
• Review patient medical history and do vision screening before they see the doctor
• Review Physician’s prescriptions and orders based on medical charts

Experience & Skills
Excellent customer service skills and personal presentation are critical to this role. The ideal candidate will have 0-1 yr of experience and:

• Medical clinic and medical record keeping exprience is preferred but not required
• Professional phone and office etiquette required
• Good organizational and multitasking abilities
• Coachable-open to feedback and continual improvement
• Flexible and adaptable
