Pico is a leading VR/AR platform with independent innovation and R&D capabilities, focusing on VR all-in-one technology. Pico is committed to offering immersive and interactive VR experiences to our customers, including providing tailor-made solutions for our enterprise clients in the fields of education and healthcare. Now we are looking for creative optical system engineers to join us to build our AR/VR display optics system team, to develop and lead new optical module development for Pico products.
Responsibilities

• 2+ years of industry experience working on optical systems performance evaluation. (Preferred)
• Work closely across the optics, display, mechanical, and other cross-functional engineering teams to define, simulate, develop, and realize a variety of optical systems.
• Experience in at least one of the following: Image quality evaluation, Stray light molding and analysis, Camera module or lens testing and characterization, Imaging optics design and manufacturing, Illumination optics design and manufacturing, Display/backlight design and development, Polarization, or Visual Optics.
• Specify key performance indicators, test methods, and test requirements for components and systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Change the landscape of capabilities of AR and VR.
• Perform requirement flow-down and budgeting to various subsystems.
• Work closely with external hardware industry partners to identify, define, develop, test, and deploy state-of-the-art display optics systems.
• Distill product-level requirements to optical system design and requirements.
• Identify new concepts and system architectures to develop innovative processes that improve optical performance and system cost.
• Experience in development of optical testing and metrology systems.
• Create and maintain engineering specifications.
• Manage and execute technology and product subsystem development processes, from exploration, to definition, specification, architecture, design, verification and production.
• Experience in optical design software (e.g. Zemax, Code V, LightTool, etc.).
• Experience communicating and collaborating in a cross-functional team environment. (Preferred)
