Operations Manager With Amazon Dsp

SoFLo Premier Logistics is a Multi-Station Amazon Delivery Service Partner.

We are recruiting an Operations Manager to lead our Port St. Lucie team. This position reports directly to the CEO, leads an average of 100 delivery associates and manages a fleet of 50 vehicles at an Amazon delivery station. The Operations Manager is responsible for organizational management while ensuring the team’s success in safety, delivery success, and reliability. This role manages Delivery Associates (DA), dispatch, fleet services, and acts as a liaison between Amazon corporate staff and company senior management. The Operations Manager focuses on delivery success, fleet maintenance, route planning, occupational safety, employee relations and development.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicle files of preventative and corrective maintenance
• Maximize delivery routes, staff, and fleet availability
• Verify and ensure delivery associates are completing proper pre and post trip vehicle inspections
• Deliver performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, facilitate performance improvement, disciplinary action and termination as needed.
• Facilitate incident, accident, injury response and reporting
• Ensure a culture of safety through continuous training and coaching
• Analyze performance data to identify opportunities for coaching and performance improvement
• Provide support to all areas of the operation in the event of staffing challenges, fleet vehicle breakdowns, accidents, incidents, and employee concerns
• Work with third party vendors to ensure fleet readiness
• Maintain consistent high-performance standards in metrics and KPI’s
• Partner with SoFLo HQ Fleet and Safety Manager on safety and fleet initiatives
• Conduct daily safety meetings prior to dispatch
• Work with HR team to onboard new hires and maintain up to date personnel records
• Ability to facilitate adjustments to staffing, vehicle allocation, and route assignments based on resource availability
• Resolve issues as necessary

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Android mobile devices
• One year of leadership experience preferred
• Must have valid drivers license
• Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to dive deep in to related metrics
• Must be 21 years of age or older (Insurance purposes)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and MS Office Suite
• Dispatch experience a plus
• Ability to work in variable conditions, which include multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities, extended work schedules, and specific time constraints
• Demonstrated ability to train, educate, mentor and/or coach team members
• Willing to work hard and take accountability
• Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics preferred
