Job Description

BLUEFOX PRODUCTION is a leading live event company based in the Kansas City Metro Area,

serving clients nationwide. We specialize in producing creative and cohesive events, providing

The Operations Manager plays a crucial role at BLUEFOX Production, overseeing company

operations behind the scenes including planning and executing various tasks related to labor

management, gear allocation, warehouse management, and ensuring the smooth functioning

of company departments. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented

individual with strong leadership skills and the ability to navigate multiple tasks effectively.


As the Operations Manager, you will play a vital role in the successful execution of live events,

ensuring seamless operations, effective resource allocation, and the overall growth and success

of the company.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with department heads to assess labor requirements and assign appropriate

staff members to event teams.

• Maintain gear inventory system in accordance with sales and show staff needs.

• Manage the allocation of equipment and gear for events, considering project

requirements and availability.

• Develop strategies to optimize gear utilization and minimize rental costs.

• Keep record of and assist in repair and maintenance of inventory equipment.

• Stay up to date with industry trends and offer gear purchasing suggestions.

• Oversee the operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient organization, cleanliness,

and safety protocols.

• Coordinate with warehouse staff to manage incoming and outgoing gear, maintain

accurate records, and facilitate efficient workflows.

• Implement and enforce inventory control measures to prevent loss or damage of

company assets.

• Manage company vehicles and schedule usage per event needs.

• Collaborate with department heads to ensure effective communication, coordination,

and alignment of tasks and objectives.

• Host and facilitate cross-departmental collaboration meetings and information sharing

to enhance operational efficiency.

• Safely transport equipment and crew in company vehicles including non-CDL box trucks.

Driving training is provided and must be completed within 90 days. Additional licenses

may be required after training.


Qualifications

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

• Must be able to bend, climb stairs, and continuously stand or walk 50% of the time.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 Ibs.

• Hearing and vision within normal ranges is important for conversations to receive

information and to prepare or inspect site plans, blueprints, and drawings.

• Must communicate effectively, both by active listening and conveying information in

written and verbal forms.

• Must demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Must prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines.

• Must be flexible and able to communicate and manage in a fast-paced working

environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to read, modify, and comprehend drawings i.e., ground plans, sections, lighting

plots via PDF, CAD, or Vectorworks.

• Proficient in conflict resolution.
