Operations Manager Jobs

Axiom (OMNI) Industrial Solutions Inc. based in Springdale, Arkansas is seeking an Operations Manager.

Job Purpose:

The Operations Manager is responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities such as the timely delivery of estimates relating to Multi-trade projects, overseeing the trades to execute multi-trade projects, managing the Fabrication Operations and any other support required to operation such as Dispatch, Logistics and Tools. Collaborating with the other departments throughout Axiom Group of Companies to load balance fabrication jobs.

Enforcing the Corporate Health & Safety Standards, Customer Service, communicating the Corporate Vision and deploying the Axiom Group of Companies Strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1) Health & Safety:

• Identify potential risk hazards
• Enforce the Health & Safety Program which includes daily safety talks and PPE standards.
• Ensure all staff are trained and tested on the usage and safety of all equipment and no untrained employee uses any equipment such as overhead crane.

2) Estimating

• Ensure that all Quotes/ RFQ’s are submitted in a timely manner
• Risk mitigation, ensue that Axiom has the resources and skill sets required to successfully execute.
• Review all quotes great than $10,000 with CEO Quoting Review
• Fabrication Projects to maintain a 25% Gross Margin
• Piping Projects maintain a 20% Gross Margin
• Millwrighting Projects maintain a 30% Gross Margin

3) 5 S Program

• In collaboration with the Management implement the 5 S program
• Ensure daily that the 5 S standards and guideline are maintained throughout the Facility

4) Logistics, Dispatch, Inventory and Tool Crib

• Planning - Direct short-term and long-range planning of jobs, staff and logistics
• Resolve any problems or discrepancies.
• Accept and process deliveries to Premises
• Comparing purchase orders with packaging slips to ensure they match order and PO criteria.
• Tool Crib and Inventory controls (via Hilti Tool tracking system)
• Maintaining records of orders, delivery details, etc
• Coordinate the shipping of materials or Products as directed
• Comparing purchase orders with packaging slips to ensure they match order and PO criteria.
• Oversee the Dispatch functions.

5) Quality and Workmanship:

• Workmanship is critical - Ensure that final product is clean and presentable.
• Prior to shipping, ensure that all weld documentation and quality are met as per welding specifications and that Quality Control document is complete.
• Ensure that employees are communicated with the relevant information and data they require to fabricate and install

6) Customer Support

• Assist the Estimating role by providing detail information from customers in order to submit Quotes.
• Travel to Clients destinations as required to provide support to assist Estimator and Project Management
• Maintaining customer relationships; ensuring customer loyalty via excellent customer service

7) Talent Management; Human Resources; Employee Supervision and Retention

• Designing, recommending, and implementing Retention strategies.
• Conducting annual Performance Reviews
• Working with the director of human resources, manage and assist in recruiting staff
• Keep a positive attitude at all times
• Provide coaching, mentoring and employee expectations in a positive manner to develop employee skill sets.
• Take corrective action to improve employee performance by providing counseling and utilizing the disciplining process when standards are not met

7) Project Management

• Tracking all employee timesheets and hours per job
• Oversee the milestone schedule
• Review the Job costing to ensure that the project meets budgets
• Oversee all compliance with all environmental standards

Skills And Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of ASME, OSHA and State regulations
• Able to read blueprints and organize work schedule
• Knowledge of safe practices regarding all tools and equipment
• Background experience are essential in Millwrighting, Piping, Fabrication and Project Management
• Ability to oversee and coordinate a large shop operation; must have ability to act as “go-between”, between workers and management and ability to make decisions
• Must be an organized individual, self-motivated and a self-starter
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience as an Operations Manager
• Conducted equipment inspection.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
