Description


We seek a part-time Operations Associate to perform various administrative tasks and project-based work to support the daily activities of Milepost's Operations department while gaining experience in a collaborative, forward-thinking, remote-first environment. The Operations Associate will have the opportunity for professional growth and development. This position will allow you to gain valuable experience in the area of Operations, Human Resources, and Project Management.


This is a temporary, 3-6 month hourly-paid opportunity.


Core Responsibilities


Provides administrative and project support to the Operations Lead. Activities may include:


  • Managing the ramp-up of the new benefits platform by ensuring policies, handbook, and employee data are correct
  • Work on special projects
  • Building an internal communication site using SharePoint
  • Other administrative support as needed
  • Assist in prep and follow-up activities for a business retreat
  • Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of data stored in employee files
  • Creating various training materials, standard work documents, process and user guides where needed
  • Assist with creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for critical workflows
  • Assisting with the migration of documents to the new finance and expense platform


Required Competencies

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with patience in a remote environment
  • Ability to work approximately 20-30 hours per week Monday-Friday (with some flexibility)
  • A sense of discretion and a high degree of professionalism and integrity in handling confidential information and sensitive situations; able to keep all matters appropriately confidential
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and decision-making capabilities
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Aptitude for detail and precision; able to apply quality control principles to your own work.


Education And Experience


  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience


Work Conditions


  • To perform the job successfully, the candidate must be able to use a computer and other standard office equipment
  • Most work activities are conducted at a desk on a computer
  • Fluency in the English language is required
  • Routine lifting and carrying of equipment may be necessary to conduct business
