Open Source Software Developer

Rite-Solutions, Inc. is currently seeking skilled and motivated Entry Level Open Source Software Developer candidates in the Middletown RI, position is full time and will be mostly remote.

This position requires an entry level software developer with experience with Cloud-based open-source application development. Tasks include but are not limited to application development, testing, documentation, customer interface, and requirements gathering/documentation. Work consists of developing, testing, and documenting modern open-source cloud application software to meet customer and project requirements while using open source tools as applicable.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Host the weekly office hours with updates and features.
• Compatibility testing
• Static and Dynamic code analysis.
• Develop documentation for end users/integrators
• User Data Access controls
• Identify potential risks/issues with dependencies
• API endpoint testing
• Dependency Analysis
• Document current API test plan
• Maintain online user documentation
• UI testing
• Documentation of testing procedures.
• Suggest/execute enhancements to current testing approach
• Basic endpoint functions
• Verify proper behavior when dependencies are updated

Requirements / Skills

• Familiarity with the following technologies
• 1+ years of Software Development experience
• Position requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret-level security clearance with the US Government
• Open API, MySQL, CSS, NodeJS, JavaScript, React
• Familiarity with Generative Artificial Intelligence a plus
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technology field
• Effective written and verbal skills
• Able to work and thrive in both individual and team-based development environments
• Familiarity with cloud technologies
