Job Description

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Responsible for screening driver applications for information pertaining to FMCSA-DOT up to and including Motor Vehicle Reports, DAC, Employment Verifications and Criminal background checks
  • Must be personable, professional and have a positive attitude and demeanor
  • Ability to be self-sufficient and work independently, under management direction
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information with sensitivity, tact and discretion required
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for all new drivers, ensuring that they complete all required paperwork, including DOT applications, driver qualification files, and background checks
  • Communicate in-depth with Terminal/Field Safety Specialists and Recruiters regarding applicants in process for a smooth transaction from processing to onboarding
  • Adaptable to working in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing deadlines
  • Schedule ECOC for potential Applicants


THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in the transportation industry
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements, including driver qualification files, drug and alcohol testing, and hours-of-service
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer programs
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
