We are looking for an Onboarding Specialist to support the needs of our Insurance Department.


Summary


The Onboarding Specialist will be responsible for assisting with negotiating, enrolling, and maintaining all provider contracts that LittleStar partners with, along with assisting with the onboarding of all new companies LittleStar provides billing services for. Key factors include assertively supporting LittleStar’s mission by initiating processes with outside companies that want to utilize LittleStar’s billing services. The position leads the entire onboarding process from pre-contract through go-live dates, and closely collaborates with the insurance team and other internal departments to ensure staff are informed of new providers, changes to existing providers and updates to the medical and billing policies of the payers we serve. This position will also be responsible for assisting with any Credentialing, Contracting, and Eligibility tasks as needed. Key factors for this are enrolling and maintaining relationships with outside companies, maintaining updated information in LittleStar’s billing systems, and communicating effectively with the insurance team. The Onboarding Specialist will be responsible for assisting and educating all new companies that LittleStar provides billing services for.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Will maintain the process manual for the entire insurance department.
  • Work to positively impact team spirit and overall morale.
  • Act as a positive role model for all staff, families and children working with LittleStar ABA and model a high standard of reliability, accuracy, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Will serve as a backup for the entire credentialing department, including eligibility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Adhere to all LS policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of center fiscal information.
  • Oversees the accumulation, transmission, and dissemination of Company information throughout the Onboarding process.
  • Builds and maintains relationships that nurture insurance provider partnerships.
  • Maintains the stability and reputation of LittleStar ABA by complying with legal requirements.
  • Maintain client confidentiality per LittleStar ABA policy and HIPAA Privacy Rule Regulations.
  • Will work on special projects for the VP of insurance and Credentialing and Contracting Director as needed.
  • Corresponds with providers, staff, and network provider relations staff to coordinate/confirm network provider participation; communicates provider enrollment information and status.
  • Assist companies in the process of going live with LittleStar taking over billing. Ensures LittleStar has all pertinent clients in provider information prior to go-live date and inputs the information into the billing system.


Third-Party Billing Company Responsibilities


  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
  • Builds and maintains relationships that nurture insurance provider partnerships.
  • Will serve as a backup for the entire credentialing department, including eligibility for external companies.
  • Oversees the accumulation, transmission, and dissemination of Company information throughout the Onboarding process.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Builds and maintains relationships that nurture the partnership with LittleStar and BrightKyte.
  • Will work on special projects for the VP of insurance and Credentialing and Contracting Director as needed.
  • Ensures LittleStar has all pertinent client in provider information prior to go-live date and inputs the information into the billing system.
  • Will maintain the process manual for the entire insurance department.
  • Maintains the stability and reputation of LittleStar ABA by complying with legal requirements.
  • Corresponds with providers, staff, and network provider relations staff to coordinate/confirm network provider participation; communicates provider enrollment information and status.
  • Communicated with BrightKyte to ensure everything LittleStar needs to go live with a company has been obtained.
  • Assist companies in the process of going live with LittleStar taking over billing.
  • Detail orientated, and able to investigate and find answers.


Educational Qualifications And Skills


  • High School diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Good time management skills along with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work with a variety of people, both internal and external.
  • Ability to analyze/solve problems and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate appropriately given the circumstances of the situation and audience involved.
  • 1-2 years’ experience with insurance in a medical office setting required.
  • A positive team player and energetic professional
  • Technology competent, including Microsoft Office, email, and Internet.
  • Strong organizational habits with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Discretion in matters that need to remain private.
  • Results and deadline driven.
  • Strong attention to detail


Condition of Employment


  • Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as provided by LittleStar, where physical distance cannot be attained, as needed.
  • Must successfully pass the initial and updated criminal history, background, and record checks, which includes driving history checks.    


Work Environment


Position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office and audiovisual equipment. Position is eligible for telecommuting up to 60% of the time.
