Job Description
Description:
Main Purpose
To ensure an organized flow of material from yard to offshore with minimal disruptions to the construction plan. Materials to be controlled through the entire cycle from request through installation.
Essential Functions
  • Responsible for maintaining an updated set of drawings revisions that are made.
  • Computes the number of materials required to complete job orders.
  • Maintenance of tools & equipment.
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory levels of the surplus, bolts, gaskets, plugs, valves, etc.
  • Coordinates the flow of materials between departments according to production and shipping schedules.
  • Responsible for the distribution of all materials at the job site in a controlled manner.
  • Transport personnel in a company vehicle.
  • Review material schedule with departments to define material requirements.
Requirements:
Physical Requirements
  • Reaching, forward, and overhead are essential job functions /physical requirements.
  • Walking: This is an essential job function/physical requirement.
  • Lifting - employees must lift 25 pounds and occasionally 50-75 pounds.
  • Climbing: This is an essential job function /physical requirement.
  • Turning, twisting, bending, and stooping- These physical requirements are essential job functions.
  • Pushing and Pulling- These physical requirements are essential job functions.
  • Balancing, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing are all considered regular physical duties/requirements and would be needed/required to work in this industrial environment safely and efficiently.
  • Standing: This is an essential job function/physical requirement.
Job Requirements
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of material take-offs and proper callouts.
  • Knowledge of material specifications and trace requirements.
  • Familiar with tools & equipment such as wrenches, rigging equipment, safety equipment, etc.
  • Ability and knowledge to properly direct personnel.
  • Ability to work in computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Experience operating forklifts.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
  • Must be available for occasional weekend calls.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Ability to track and distribute the correct materials as per call out on the drawings.
Desirable Experience/Training
Highschool diploma or GED.
Environmental Conditions
80 to 90% of the work activities are performed outdoors. Individuals will be required to work in changes of temperature, hot, cold, humid, wet, and dry conditions, dust, mud, etc.
